Applications for MSIA 2020 now open!

Applications for the Malta Social Impact Awards (MSIA) 2020 are now open, offering non-profit organisations, social entrepreneurs and innovators the opportunity to win both financial and non-financial support to develop a sustainable initiative that has a positive social impact on Malta. Eligible initiatives include those that target the relief of poverty and suffering, the advancement of health, education or culture, the empowerment of marginalised communities and minorities, or the protection of the environment and animals, to name a few.  An information session open to the general public will be held at 17:30 on March 4th at the Centre for Entrepreneurship & Business Incubation at the University of Malta. Spaces are limited - send an email to info@siamalta.org to book your spot.

Application forms for MSIA 2020 can be downloaded directly from www.siamalta.org/apply-now and the submission deadline is the 16th of April. Those initiatives shortlisted to go through to the semi-finals will participate in group mentoring sessions with TAKEOFF business incubator at the University of Malta, and will then be paired with a CEO through Vistage Malta for further mentoring in preparation for MSIA 2020 final event which will be held in November. The winners will be awarded grants and additional non-financial support in the form of mentoring and advisory services from leading businesses in Malta. Over the years, MSIA together with the support of local businesses and individuals has awarded over €350,000 in grants to 12 local initiatives that have impacted the lives of thousands of individuals in Malta.

Launched by the Gasan Foundation and Inspirasia Foundation in 2016, the Malta Social Impact Awards aims to create opportunities for local changemakers, people that wish to make a positive change to society and Malta. By bringing businesses and philanthropists together, MSIA supports local initiatives that have a positive social impact and helps social purpose organisations grow into stronger entities.
