Maximizing online tools to support their clients safely

To maintain social distancing during this pandemic, the YPK Bali team are maximizing their online tools to support their clients. More than 200 people with a disability that used to access their clinic now have to stay home. But YPK haven’t lost hope to help them on their rehabilitation journey. When there is a will, there is a way.

YPK’s online support is given through video calls, online home exercises and personalized consultations. The Home Therapy Program, which has been proven to be the most effective at this point in time, creatively utilizes equipment available at home for physical therapy. The clients’ families are happy to assist the process and implement what they learnt during the lessons received from YPK family-based rehabilitation, which always involves the client’s family in the day to day rehabilitation program.

Similarly,  for YPK Bali’s education program, teachers are conducting online classes to help children stay active and motivated. This also gives students the chance to implement their daily life skill lessons at home, such as personal grooming and hygiene, toileting, and helping their families with daily chores at home.
