Recycled Wheelchairs for People with Disabilities

Puspadi Bali, one of Inspirasia’s grantees, continues to make new wheelchairs by recycling old wheelchairs that have been distributed for people with disabilities. Through the work of its field officers, Puspadi Bali conducts quality control and evaluation to collect wheelchairs that are no longer fit for use or are damaged, to be recycled into new and comfortable wheelchairs that can be used. This process is executed by the Puspadi Bali wheelchair team with modifications according to clients’ needs.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, we are required to work creatively. Our team hunts for damaged wheelchairs in remote areas of Bali to recycle them back into comfortable wheelchairs. Thank you to all the donors and partners who continue to support us in this situation of COVID-19,
— Nengah Latra - Director of Puspadi Bali.
