Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan (YPK) Bali, one of our grantees in Bali, has won Best NGO in all of Indonesia, which was awarded by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

The organisation first won Best NGO in Bali in August before progressing to the national level, where they were selected from the 15 organisations that made it through to this final stage. The criteria for the award included the organizational identity, the different programs within the organisation, the management and administration, as well as sustainability and the relationships with stakeholders. With over 3,000 NGOs throughout the country, this is a fantastic achievement for the organisation, who have come a long way since their launch in 2001.

YPK opened its first rehabilitation centre in 2002 with just two staff members and seven clients. By the time Inspirasia started supporting the organisation in 2010, they had already reached almost 400 clients. Since then, the organisation has grown tremendously and is now based at the Annika Linden Centre. Through their dedication, passion and hard work, they have now reached over 30,000 people! We are incredibly proud to be supporting YPK Bali and to be part of their impact.
