Learning from the good practices of Yogyakarta in forming a Special Health Insurance called Jamkesus, where persons with disabilities can access all sorts of assistive devices from the government, the representatives of DPOs in Bali felt that it is very important to adopt a similar health scheme. Bali DPOs decided to form a task force, consisting of a representative from each DPO and other Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs), to amplify this initiative to the Bali government and to the wider community.

Facilitated by Puspadi Bali and under funding from Inspirasia Foundation, the Annika Linden Centre and UCP RUK organized one online and one offline meeting to kick off this advocacy program to the government of Bali. From the meetings, 13 DPOs and SPOs were selected to represent the voice of persons with disabilities as a member of the Task Force. There will be a shared responsibility amongst the members of the Task Force to ensure this advocacy is being heard by the government and all of the stakeholders. Inspirasia Foundation is proud to be sponsoring this new initiative that is advocating for the fulfilment of assistive devices as a right for everyone!
